How do I start a new flight?
Click the “Time to Fly” button on the Live Map screen. This opens the Dispatcher Wizard, which guides you through route, aircraft, payload, and OFP generation. After confirming, your flight becomes active and tracking begins.
The button is only available when:
- Your simulator is running and connected to FlyAround
- No other flight is currently active
- Your account billing is active
How do I add an aircraft before flying?
Before dispatching a flight you need at least one aircraft in your Hangar. Open Hangar → Add Aircraft → enter the airframe, airline livery, and tail number → save. The aircraft will then be available in Step 2 of the Dispatcher.
Can I import my SimBrief flight plan?
Yes. In Step 1 of the Dispatcher Wizard, choose “Import from SimBrief”. FlyAround fetches your latest SimBrief OFP and pre-fills all route fields automatically.
What is an OFP?
An OFP (Operational Flight Plan) is a detailed document generated for your flight. It includes route waypoints, fuel calculations, cruise altitude, cost index, and weather at origin and destination.
You can view the OFP during an active flight (Speed Dial → OFP) and in the Logbook (Flight Details → OFP tab).
What are the flight service classes?
| Range | Options |
|---|---|
| Short-haul | Low / Standard / Luxury |
| Medium-range | Low / Standard / Luxury |
| Long-haul | Low / Standard / Luxury |
You also toggle individual services: Wi-Fi, Meals, Spirits, Duty-Free.
What is the difference between PAX and Cargo mode?
- PAX — Passenger flight. Generates a passenger manifest accessible via Speed Dial → PAX.
- Cargo — Freight flight. Tracks cargo weight; no passenger manifest.
Select the mode in Step 3 (On-Board Services) of the Dispatcher.
How do I complete a flight?
Once in one of these phases — Taxi-In, Parking, Deboarding, or Cleaning — the Complete Flight button becomes available in the Speed Dial. Click it to finish. The flight is saved to your Logbook.
How do I cancel a flight?
Click Cancel Flight in the Speed Dial. Confirm in the dialog. Cancelled flights are not saved to your Logbook.
What happens if I change aircraft mid-flight in MSFS?
FlyAround detects the change and shows an alert. You can cancel the current flight from the alert and restart with the correct aircraft.
What is the Landing Report?
After touchdown, FlyAround sends a notification with:
- Descent rate (ft/min)
- G-force at touchdown
- Ground speed
- Wind direction and velocity
This data is also saved in your Logbook flight details.
How do I view my past flights?
Open Logbook from the navigation menu. Click any callsign to open the full flight details including map tracking, loadsheet, OFP, timeline, and more.
Can I share my flight with others?
Yes. During an active flight, click Share in the Speed Dial. A public link is copied to your clipboard. Anyone with the link can watch your live flight on the FlyAround public map.
Why is the “Time to Fly” button greyed out?
| Cause | Fix |
|---|---|
| FS not connected | Start MSFS; wait for green connection indicator |
| Flight already active | Complete or cancel the existing flight first |
| Account limited | Activate or renew subscription in Profile → Billing |
