FlightBoard shows your flight on a bright LED display on your desk: your callsign, where you are on the route, altitude, speed, the phase of flight and, after touchdown, your landing rate. It works with FlyAround Desktop and takes about two minutes to set up with your phone.

Before you start
- FlyAround Mobile on your phone, signed in to your FlyAround account. App Store · Google Play
- FlyAround Desktop on the PC you fly with.
- Your home Wi-Fi name and password. Use the same Wi-Fi your PC is on.
FlightBoard uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Most home routers have it, often under the same name or with “2.4G” in the name.
Set it up
- Plug in FlightBoard. After a moment it shows a code, for example 7QM-J2G.
- Scan the QR code on the back of FlightBoard with your phone’s camera. FlyAround Mobile opens on Add FlightBoard. You can also open FlyAround Mobile and go to Settings → Devices → Add FlightBoard.
- Type the code from the FlightBoard screen and tap Connect. If your phone asks to use Bluetooth, allow it.
- Choose your Wi-Fi and enter its password.
- Wait a few seconds until the app says Your FlightBoard is on …. That’s it.
FlightBoard now shows WAITING FOR FLIGHT. Start a flight with FlyAround Desktop running, and it comes to life.
What you’ll see
- Waiting for flight — FlyAround Desktop is open, no flight yet.
- Your flight — callsign and aircraft, a bar from departure to destination, altitude, speed, phase of flight and the distance to go.
- Touchdown — right after landing: your landing rate in feet per minute. Green is a smooth landing.
You don’t need to do anything each time you fly. FlightBoard reconnects by itself whenever it’s plugged in.
Move to another Wi-Fi
Hold the UP button on the back for 5 seconds. FlightBoard forgets its Wi-Fi and shows a new code. Then follow Set it up again.
If something isn’t working
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The app can’t find FlightBoard | Make sure FlightBoard shows a code and keep your phone close to it. If it shows something else, hold UP for 5 seconds. |
| The app says the code isn’t right | Check the code on the FlightBoard screen and type it again. |
| WRONG PASSWORD | Enter your Wi-Fi password again. |
| NETWORK NOT FOUND | Choose your router’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. |
| LOOKING FOR FLYAROUND DESKTOP | Open FlyAround Desktop on your PC and check that the PC is on the same Wi-Fi. If Windows asks whether to allow FlyAround on the network, choose Allow. |
| The screen stays dark | Check that the power supply is plugged in firmly at both ends. |
